Boys and girls can join the Troop from 10 years old onwards. If you are joining from Cubs, you will normally move up between your tenth birthday and when you are 10.

We take great pride in providing a varied and exciting programme throughout the year, with trips to our local camp site, outings and adventure. We set our standards high and the Scouts strive, throughout their time in the Troop, to keep it high. We provide lots of badgework so that badges can be gained the most fun and interesting way. Every week starts off with a traditional flag break, which is followed by games, badgework and activities. After 2 short hours we draw to a close and say good night to the Troop. We try to make sure every night at Scouts is enjoyed by everyone and we put an strong emphasis on the importance of teamwork.

We are pleased to respond to enquiries about joining the Troop.

Each Scout Troop consists of small units of six to eight Scouts called a Patrol, usually led by a Patrol Leader. Outdoor activities feature prominently, with the highlight being camping. Throughout the year, Scouts learn various skills, such as map reading, camp cooking and first aid in preparation for camp.

Rock climbing, potholing, gliding, photography and international experiences are just some of the things they get up to.

There are nearly 60 activity badges, to suit a wide range of interests and these can either done in the Scout's own time or during Troop meetings and camps.
